Meet Jay Blazer
I’ve always believed that good health care should be about more than numbers and sales — it should be about people. My path to hearing care wasn’t the straight line I once imagined, but it’s the one that allows me to serve people in the most meaningful way today.
I earned my degree in biology with a pre-med focus and was accepted into medical school. But when my wife and I learned we were expecting our first child, I chose to put med school aside to provide stability for my family. I began teaching special needs children, and it was there that I met a young boy with hearing aids. I was fascinated — not just by the technology, but by the life-changing difference it made for him. That moment sparked a passion that led me into hearing care.
For the last 15 years, I’ve worked with several companies in the field. Along the way, I saw too many patients treated like sales numbers instead of people. That didn’t sit right with me. I wanted to create a place where patients could get honest answers, real guidance, and care without the pressure.
That’s why I founded Sentinel Hearing. Today, I’m proud to serve patients at our Springfield and Beavercreek offices, with a Columbus location opening soon. For those who can’t easily make it in, I also offer mobile visits — because everyone deserves access to hearing care that fits their life.
At Sentinel Hearing, my goal is simple: to make hearing care accessible, personal, and stress-free. Whether you visit one of our offices or we meet you at home, you’ll always get my full attention — and straightforward advice that puts your needs first.
